Privacy Policy
What Arpenna collects, why, where it is processed, how long it is kept, and what you can ask of us.
What we collect
- Account data, from Clerk, our sign-in provider: your name, email address, the organizations you belong to and your role in each. If you sign in with Google, Google gives Clerk your name, email address and profile picture, and nothing else from your Google account.
- What you upload and enter: drawing sets and the files made from them, price books, project names, your edits and the questions you ask the assistant.
- Usage logs: the requests made to the service, by which account and organization, when, and whether they worked, and reports of errors.
- Which version of the terms you accepted, for which organization, and when.
Why we use it
To provide the service: to sign you in, keep each organization’s work to itself, read your drawings, produce takeoffs and answer your questions about them.
To keep the service secure and working, to fix it, and to contact you about your account or a change to these documents.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Where it is processed
The service runs on the subprocessors we list, mostly in the United States, so your information may be processed outside Canada. Each processes it only to provide its part of the service.
To read a drawing set, the service sends the parts of it that hold schedules, legends and notes to Anthropic, whose Claude models read them. Questions you ask the assistant go to Anthropic with the takeoff they are about.
How long we keep it
Your projects and their files are kept while your organization uses the service.
When you delete a project, it leaves the service at once, and 30 days later it is removed for good with its drawings and every file made from them. Until then, we can restore it if you ask.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw your consent to its use (you may then no longer be able to use the service). Write to legal@arpenna.com.
If our answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
